Firebase Studio is an entirely web-based workspace that accelerates the full-stack application development lifecycle using generative AI from Gemini, AI agents, repository imports, app previews via cloud emulators, collaboration features, and deployment options to Firebase services. It enables developers to build backends, front ends, and mobile apps all in one place, going from browser to building in minutes. Note that the product is being sunset on March 22, 2027, after which new workspaces can no longer be created, with users directed to move code to Google AI Studio or Google Antigravity.

Use built-in web previews and Android emulators powered by cloud emulators; access thousands of extensions in the Open VSX Registry to test and optimize API endpoints and backends.
Deployment and monitoring
Publish apps to Firebase App Hosting with a few clicks and monitor usage and behavior; deploy production apps to Firebase Hosting, Cloud Run, or custom infrastructure with full control over the deployment approach.
