Nimbalyst is an open-source agent-native visual workspace that lets builders work with Claude Code and Codex on files, sessions, and tasks in a single interface. It includes visual editors for markdown, code, diagrams, mockups, and agent session management, plus AI diff review to reduce context switching.

Markdown Editor
Local, agentic, WYSIWYG AI-powered markdown editor for research, writing, planning, and documentation, with editable WYSIWYG and native markdown, red/green AI diffs for approval, support for text, lists, tables, code and images, and file history with restore.
Drawing and Diagrams
Create and edit drawings and diagrams with agents using AI-generated Mermaid diagrams, live Mermaid rendering in markdown, Excalidraw canvas drawing, and AI-powered placement, connection, and styling of Excalidraw elements.
Agent Sessions
Manage agent work across parallel sessions in a UI, with completion alerts, session-to-file and file-to-session linking, and searchable persistent sessions that can be resumed, branched, or archived.

Code with agents via chat instructions, Monaco editor for human and AI edits, sidebar of files changed by sessions, integrated terminal, visual Git management, AI-assisted commit messages, and git worktree support.
Planning and Tracking
Plans and tasks agents can use, including backlog visibility while agents work, cross-plan status in one view, and to-dos, tasks, and ideas in documents.
Team Collaboration
Bring a team into the same workspace as agents, including collaborative documents and trackers.
CSV and Spreadsheet Editing
Edit CSV data in a spreadsheet view while agents understand data structure and context, with AI-powered filter, sort, reshape, or enrich transforms applied directly to the file.
Visual UI Planning and Mockups
Design wireframes and mockups visually, iterate with AI and review changes, and generate frontend code from mockups.
Data Model and Schema Design
Visually design database schemas and entity relationships with AI-generated schemas and Prisma-ready schema export.
Browser Preview
Open HTML files or live URLs in a real Chromium view beside code and agents, with instant change previews and navigation controls.
